In July, Xiwu Middle School is filled with the chirping of cicadas and shaded by lush summer trees. On the morning of the 3rd, the 2025 “Patrick Xu Education Fund Award” ceremony was held here. Patrick Xu, Group President, is an alumnus of Xiwu Middle School in Fenghua District. The “Patrick Xu Education Fund Award” is divided into the “Patrick Xu Scholarship” and the “Patrick Xu Education Award.” The scholarship includes the Shuihui Award, Hengyi Award, and Shangshui Student Award, which, like spring rain nourishing all things, measure student growth across multiple dimensions. The education award, akin to the deep and steady flow of calm water, shines its light on those working behind the scenes, with categories such as the Outstanding Teacher Leadership Award and Most Beloved Teacher Award, ensuring that educators’ dedication is recognized. This dual incentive mechanism for both students and teachers vividly embodies the idea of “one tree shaking another,” allowing the soil of Xiwu Middle School to nurture both the courage to climb and the warmth of support. In 2006, Sellers Union Group donated 100,000 yuan to Xiwu Middle School to support the development of the school’s educational initiatives. In 2018, the group donated 200,000 yuan for the purchase of teaching video equipment. In 2023, the “Patrick Xu Education Fund Award” was established, launching a five-year donation plan with an annual contribution of 200,000 yuan, totaling 1 million yuan. These funds are used to reward outstanding teachers and students at Xiwu Middle School and improve the school’s facilities. 2025 marks the third year of the education fund award, and the persistence behind it stems from the heartfelt commitment of Group President Patrick Xu to his roots and his dedication to giving back to education.
